Sometimes a change is as good as a rest. And Times Will Change can rest assured that their first single is a cracker.
Blur/Rocket, a double A side written, played and designed by the four-piece is just out and despite only being recorded on an eight-track, something still shines through. But you can't buy it for love or money, as the band have only printed 250 copies, which will be sent out to disc jockeys, magazines radio stations, record companies, etc, etc.
"We didn't want it to go on sale yet, as there's the possibility that we'd only sell five and have to keep the rest under our beds. By sending copies out to people like that we'll hopefully create some interest," said keyboardist Pete McKee.
If you can't wait until the interest is created, they're on at the Maze Bar on Monday, along with Eat Don't Hula. This is Times Will Change's first performance for four months, and only the 25th in two and a half years of existence... The Star, John Quinn's Weekly Round Up 21/11/1987
